Immediate opening for a Sr. Accountant in San Pedro, CA who possesses:  
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business
  • Accountant - 5+ yrs
  • Must have ERP implementation experience (any)
  • Excel - Advanced (pivot tables/v-look ups)/QuickBooks

FULL DESCRIPTION: Provide support to the accounting department with various accounting functions including accounts receivable, month end reporting, account reconciliations, journal entries, bank account reconciliations, and various special projects as requested for the company. 
The selected candidate will be responsible for: 

  • Accounts Receivable - Invoicing, Cash Applications and light collections
  • Review, code and process accounts payables and cash receipts. 
  • Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements. . 
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly for a second business 
  • Assist with journal entries monthly. 
  • Organize & maintain detailed filling system. 
  • Communicate with co-workers, management, and others in a courteous and professional manner.  
 
The selected candidate will also possess: 
  • EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business. Technical skills in general ledger, bank reconciliations, and month-end close processing, accounts payable, accounts receivables. 
  • Communication: Ability to read, comprehend, and compose instructions, correspondence, and memos in English. Must possess the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. 
  • Analysis and Decision Making: Must possess good analytical, quantitative, and problem solving skills and technical skills. Ability to creatively apply experience, common sense, and a strategic and economical business perspective to a variety of situations, processes and people. Ability to manage several projects concurrently. Ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities with efficiency, accuracy, work independently, professionally and in a team environment. 
  • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a strong command of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, QuickBooks and Great Plains.
 
 
Salary Range: $85k - $92k
