AutoCAD Creo Designer – Defense Search

- Fluent working with Creo (AutoCAD Design), ideally 5 years of experience
- Experience working/collaborating with engineering teams/strong communicator
- Strong knowledge of GD&T

FULL DESCRIPTION:
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Create 3D CAD Creo models and drawings as part of an integrated product team under the direction of a lead Mechanical Engineer, Designer and Engineering Manager
- Provide effective design support during the conceptual and detailed design phases of a product development program
- Support the mechanical engineering team in the areas of top-down assembly design, part modeling, manufacturing drawings, GD&T, and design for manufacturability
- Interface with company production personnel and outside suppliers during the manufacturing phase of programs
- Support business development activities by providing input for proposals
The selected candidate will also possess:
- Associate's degree in Drafting, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a drafter in the aerospace industry or a related technical field.
- Extensive Creo experience in top-down assembly design, part modeling, assembly management, and manufacturing drawings; experience with Creo cabling, surfacing, and sheet metal is preferred
- Advanced capability in designing for producibility, reliability, and ease of assembly and maintenance
- Strong knowledge of GD&T
- Knowledge of fasteners, adhesives, coatings, and related industry specifications desired
- Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques such as machining, forming, casting, injection molding, and additive manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of aerospace materials, fabrication processes, and regulatory standards.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Well versed in configuration management, experience with Windchill is preferred
- Proficient in MS Office products
- Ability to effectively present information in team meetings and design reviews
- US Citizenship or lawful permanent residence of the U.S. required in support of US Government contracts/subcontracts
- Follow corporate policies and design procedures
- This position uses a computer terminal to access, input, and retrieve data
- This position may be subject to interruptions that may cause a change in immediate priorities and/or work focus
- While performing duties of this position, employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, and/or bend
- May be subjected to occasional irregular or extended work hours
- May be required to sit for extended lengths of time
