Bilingual Spanish - Plant Manager – Manufacturing/Six Sigma Certified
Description
Serve as the senior on-site leader on the factory floor. This role requires hands-on leadership, strict adherence to operational standards, and proactive problem solving to drive daily performance and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. As we are a growing company, we are looking for someone that has experience with ERP implementation along with ideally Six Sigma Black Belt Certified.
Core Responsibilities & Expectations
Leadership & Presence
- Open the facility by 5:30 AM, Monday through Friday, ensuring the plant is fully operational for a 6:00 AM production start.
- Maintain a visible, engaged presence across all departments throughout the day.
- Remain on site until final shutdown and security checks are complete.
Communication with Senior Leadership
- Meet daily with the company President (or designated executive) at 3:00 PM to review production results, challenges, and departmental performance.
- Arrive prepared with clear updates, questions, and unresolved issues.
- Confirm all decisions or unclear items directly with leadership team.
Open Communication Culture
- Foster a culture where communication is immediate and transparent.
- Call for urgent matters; use text or email for updates and documentation.
- Verify information from employees for production information and recognizing that details may be incomplete or outdated.
Accountability & Discipline
- Enforce company policies consistently and professionally.
- Address lateness, behavior issues, or performance gaps promptly and document when appropriate.
- Focus on measurable results rather than personalities, and model high standards for every department.
Organization & Professionalism
- Keep your workspace clean and organized, setting the tone for order and pride throughout the plant.
- Conduct routine walkthroughs to assess production, safety, and facility conditions.
Daily Closing Responsibilities
- Complete a full shutdown checklist, including:
- Powering down all machinery
- Securing roll-up doors, gates, and windows
- Locking all doors and exits
Continuous Improvement
- Work with management as a partner for continuous improvement, implementing new procedures and processes.
- Recommend improvements to increase safety, reduce waste, and streamline processes.
- Encourage team growth and raise operational standards.
Performance Measures
- Visibility and consistency of leadership on the production floor.
- Accuracy, preparedness, and timeliness of communication with senior leadership.
- Ability to lead teams, mentor, solve problems, and uphold performance standards adhering to KPI's for team and training where needed.
- Professionalism, availability, and responsiveness.
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to work beyond regular hours when needed, including some weekends, to meet project deadlines or operational demands.
- Regularly monitor and respond to email, texts, and voicemail throughout the day.
Salary Range: $120k-$160k/yr
